The Sugar Development Fund Rules, 1983 were made in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 of the SDF Act, 1982, to provide for (a) the manner in which any loans or grants are to be made out of the Fund and the terms and conditions thereof, (b) the manner and form in which applications are to be made; (c) the composition of the committee and the procedure to be followed by it in the discharge of its functions and (d) the form in which and the period within which statistical and other information may be furnished by sugar factories.
